Female header BLY 9 SMD ...

Fischer Elektronik has extended its female header group of products, grid spacing 2 mm ("BLY…") by adding a two-row horizontal SMD design. The item number for this type is "BLY 9 SMD …" The female headers are pluggable, i.e., □0.45mm – □0.5mm square spindles and Ø0.4mm - Ø0.56mm round pins. The precision female contact consists of a sleeve and contact spring. The sleeve is made of CuZn, while the contact spring is made of CuSn6 spring material. The sleeve surface, including the soldering contact, is tin-plated (pure tin) and the contact spring is gilded. The insulator is made of high temperature-resistant plastic (flammability class UL94 V-0) which makes the female headers suitable for lead-free "reflow soldering". Safe functioning is assured in the temperature range from –40°C to +163°C. The materials used for the female header series are compliant with EU directive 2002/95/EC (RoHs) as well as regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (REACH). The female headers come either as bulk material (4-40 contacts) for manual mounting, in a bar magazine for automatic mounting (10-40 contacts) or with tape and reel packaging (4-24 contacts).
